Due to classified circumstances, Portner's (Geoff's Alias) blog entries are a little more "restricted" content wise. So I'm here to flood this entry, with a combination of the photos I took & and the photos he took-"Our" Rottnest experience. Documented & memorialized.
we all had an early start to the day- 815am meeting so we can all hop into a car and make our way to fremantle port, C-Shed.
the ONLY person i know who will wear socks with "slip on, diving shoes"
Collected our tickets from the Rottnest ferry booth & waited to board at 925am.
Off to Rottnest Island! 25 min boat ride isn't that hard to sit through.
waters were choppy, thank goodness none of us suffered sea sickness.
Arrived, in a piece.
headed to the visitor centre- only dave headed inside to get the MAP.
while we waited outside (sitting on the grass always reminds me of how we would waste our in-between classes time at bushcourt).
we immediately hurried to get our only form of transportation on the island- bicycles. being kiasu singaporeans & brunians, we wanted to secure our bikes before it was all hired out- clearly, there was enough for another 300 people.
Smart way of accomodating the helmet.

I dont know which to focus in this picture... the STOP HERE sign that Geoff insisted we wait behind it or his FOOTWEAR.
After we got our bikes, we went to have breakfast at DOME- of all places... we came to Rottnest and had our breakfast here. The rest joked that after breakfast we should head back to the mainland.
the oreochimiru tongue pose- that stupid character from naruto would be proud that you guys are living his legacy.
this is just scrattey. BUT ISN'T HE??? Peter Chao?

everyone wants a piece of Peter Chao.

our breakfast table- mainly all had bacon and eggs, except for scratte. FISH & CHIPS? at 10am in the morning?!

he looks like he is touching it, right? he is not. dont worry, its the angling of the camera that made it look like he was touching it. some kid rode pass us and stopped and turned back and said : you are not allowed to touch it. WE GETTT IT.

Stopped at Fays Bay to take a dipp- afterall, this is also what Rottnest is famous for- its 63 secluded crystal water beaches.
geoff's nipples got squirted on. (it's just sunblock)

they are buddies, and it's a picture perfect buddy shot.

tiong bought banana and passionfruit ice-cream which tasted nothing like passionfruit, just mashed up over-riped banana. tasted it (thought it was disgusting) and passed it to scratte (also thought it was disgusting) to finish it (he finished it anyway, just because it was ice-cream).

snappers, caught tiong snapping away on his camera.

They look like some band. F4, BLUE, BOYZONE- asian style.

eventhough the weather was searing, the waters was very chilly... i had trouble submerging my whole body into the water just because it was painfully cold!

wanted to slowly accustom myself to the waters, so knee deep was all i could venture into.. until i got splashed on. foooool.

the funny man looks so serious. coincidentally, seaweed got stuck to his shorts- obviously not, it was a deliberate attempt to make it look like his overgrown pubes.

his expression can be explained- the rest of the boys were throwing "shit" on him.. and on me. shit was because the texture of it felt like shit, it was wet sand.. handfulls of wet sand were thrown on us- it was painful and it meant we had to go into the waters to wash it all off.

there is something unsettling about this photo. tiong was posing for this shot under some suspended rock/cave/shelter and it looks like there is some paranormal activity occuring. looks like a lost filipino boy? how creepy.

whats happening up there?

looks like the 2 boys found something worth climbing up for- must be fantastic lookout, by the looks of it.

its the paranoma of the indian ocean. it was a beautiful time and place to be at.

overloooking Fays Bay.

after the beach, we decided to continue our journey... on bikes of course. this shot was obviously taken by Geoff- why else would this be taken? Maybe it was because of the lodges, or maybe it was because there were young girls in bikinis?

we cycled on and tried to make our way to the lighthouse.

we were going to ride for 7 over km's just to get to the lighthouse, the scenery kept us going.

down-slope= JOY!

twins.

nature reserve

A class

the route we took had very friendly "QANTAS"- as geoff calls it. I think they are called Quokkas.. or some animal thats in the family of the rodents.

we can see the lighthouse! it still looks so far away.

made another stop because these-like rats were just so cute. there were little babies huddled up next to their mommies.

of course i dared geoff to touch it- but he was afraid they might bite. they look friendly, but who knows they will jump and nip you when you get close. he found a "weapon" to provoke it.. he was lucky it ran away instead of biting him.

PIT STOP. dehyrated & sore from all the riding.

where is my mommy? maybe geoff can help you find her.

we abandoned our plan to ride up to the lighthouse. just bacuse the UP-SLOPES were killing us- just mainly geoff and i. the lighthouse closed off at 2pm, thank goodness they had a sign saying it was closed- or else it would have been very disappointing to ride all the way up for nothing.

returned our bikes at 3.30pm. no more riding-ever.

loitered around... closeby. exhasusted by all our efforts to ride around the island, probably burnt off ALOT of calories. JOY.

the end of our Rottnest Island trip- walked to our ferry that departs at 4.45pm.

the ferry was full, the boys managed to get a seat.. all seperated from one another. i spared dave & tiong- i hoaxed scratte and geoff to the deck with me, we were all tired and our legs were still jittery from all the cycling. if we didnt hang on tight enough, we would have been thrown aboard... AND GEOFF WOULD HAVE DROWNED.

we got back to mainland, safely... and had early dinner- at KFC. KENTUCKY
FRIED CHICKEN. there goes all the calories i've burnt. i'll never lose weight & trim up at this rate i'm going.

2012, too lengthy. you better believe when you see those homeless hobo's carrying cardboard signs saying
THE END IS NEAR, REPENT NOW.

as long as there is
msn, there is
geoff.

WOODMAN POINT LOOKOUT
this is also another beautiful place i wanted to check out. since now, i have NO CAR... i have to rely on my drivers to come get me... then again, they will get to experience new places. WIN-WIN!

this place is like a jetty, alot of pinoys fishing .. just that it is dangerous. its a jetty made out of bits and pieces of big and small rocks.

its better to lay as low as possible, and be sturdy as a rock.

other than standing on some big rock and get striked by a big gust of wind. fall down, hit your head on a rock and die from excessive bleeding. There is also no hospital nearby. I take chances.

the rock jetty.

one wrong step and you will either get wet, cut, or die.

the furthest we made. the rocks were way to slippery and big for us to have made it all the way to the tip.

just because i wore thongs, it wasnt safe to jump from rock to rock. i walked in water, just to be safe.

A SIGHT TO BEHOLD. 3 huge pelicans in close proximity.

this doucebag wasnt afraid of standing close to them.

i believe in karma, and after what we did at mandurah (bribe them into thinking the rocks were food and throwing at them)... i didnt dare to stand too close to them. their beaks were NO JOKE. LONG AND SHARP AND had the YOU BITCH, I HEARD WHAT YOU DID TO MY COUSINS IN MANDURAH, I AM GOING TO PIERCE YOU WITH MY BEAK LOOK.

Why the Similarity?

I thought that this is a signifant entry to mention that after Geoff (Portner) is going back to Brunei and probably will never want to see us again. He is a very funny chap with such an intensely corrupted mind. Then again, he is so damn smart and reads News Weekly every week just to be sync with the latest gossip about britney spears or kim khardashian. How can anytime find time to study? We shall see you again, my friend. At least, Serene & Kwok will on my behalf.
PS: I SOLD MY CAR.
